I have been responding to inquires lately they ask "what FOGBONES do". So I thought this would be a Good place to put an explanation.

The Bones replace a suspension link and raise the rear of the bike about 1 1/2" at the grab handle. Why? These parts change the angle of the Swing Arm to put it more in line with the torque reaction of the tire, this reduces lift under hard drives, also they reduce the fork rake Angle and shorten the trail. these two changes quicken the steering and cause the bike to turn with less counter steering input. Finally braking is much improved by the greater weight shift to the front wheel (which does 90% of the braking). Ground clearance is improved as well allowing increased lean angle. I have added a slight bulge in the center to accommodate the slightly larger springs from the after market.
I developed this product during my long and successful race career (I quit before I was crippled ....too much)
Installation is a simple bolt off/on process that uses only hand tools and a jack or center stand.
I keep 2nd gens in stock and make 1st gens up special to order.

FOG

I get emails inquiring if I still make these, I assure you I do, and I will remove this add the Minuit I don't.

Fog's machine shop service.

I have decided I have some spare time available.
I have a pretty good machine shop and all the tools required to rebuild EX engines,
I am offering this service to all.
I can do.
Complete head re building including replacing seats and cutting them correctly.
I can re hone bore or replace sleeves if required including oversize one if you like.
I can not alter or repair crankshafts, but I can re fit new bearings into you bottom ends (not as simple as it may seem.
I'm retired and can turn your job around quickly for you racers.
Refrences on request.
Email for a quote for you job.

Throw a couple sets of each on Ebay and see what kind of response you get. I've been very happy with mine.

Here's one that apparently sells on E-Bay. They at least take Paypal. Something I would NEVER do. And it's dogbones.... and it's direct!

Don't ever have occasion to use their buyer protection. They have waiting periods and filing times that manage to exhaust their own arbitrarily chosen time limit of forty-five days from payment to have a refundable claim. And that's not at ALL clear until you are at or near to completing the steps, when it's too late to do anything about it. It's a well orchestrated avoidance system to avoid their guarantee. It's intentional and obvious by the time you realize it. Forty-five days that starts ticking the day you make the payment and this includes the time exhausted waiting for the shipment, then contacting the seller, and finally realizing you might actually have a problem. Then you have to go through E-Bay's complaint system first, a required time frame for that to be exhausted, then a waiting period to file with Paypal's system, then the mandatory waiting period for them. In the end, you find you're at 55 to 70 days and they tell you, "tough, you're too late". The time is exhausted to be paid on a claim! Hmmm. I know a scam when I see it and this one's poster material. What the hell is forty-five days about when a seller flat doesn't ship a product you paid for through Paypal... and furthermore, they KNOW it because in the course of the deal their parent company, E-Bay, suspended the seller. But the forty-five days ran out?! SCREW THEM!

And when you have a problem, wait until you deal with their customer service people.... that's AFTER you find a number for them and actually get through. It's a research challenge that would test the skills of the best and a test of patience that would make one a shoe-in for sainthood nomination. Good luck.

It's hard to believe that a company could operate the way they do in this country, in this day and age. Or maybe it's actually very telling of this day and age when the in-mates are running the asylum. It would be way off topic to go further. Bottom line, I don't use them and take every opportunity to bad mouth them the best I can! SCREW PAYPAL! Use a Money Order... or sea shells, ANYTHING but PayPunk. I consider this a service, passing on their story.

Re: Dog Bones

I just had someone on eBay take my money and run. I went to paypal after a month and filed a dispute which is open for 20 days. After that I escalated it to a claim and that took seven days to process. After that they gave me my money back. I can't say anything bad about them.

THEY must have had money in their Paypunk account for them to seize because Paypunk wouldn't have given you squat. You exceeded their 45 days. Also, don't "upgrade" your account with them because they'll not hesitate to draw down to settle a dispute as they see fit. And if you have a Paypunk account only, not with your bank attached, don't leave any money in it. That will be put on hold in a dispute and then gone on their decision. And they AREN'T a bank so don't come under banking regulations. Look long and hard at them before to give them any of your bank information. They're NOT to be trusted in spite of their misleading advertising.

Here's a link for your perusal. Enjoy! Many had experiences way beyond my own but the flavor of the dealings matches perfectly with my experience and details learned after the fact. My summary conclusion is screw them. That's about all I have to say but these folks have much more. Read enough, sort out the BS, but you'll see a theme... and it's shameful.

Re: Dog Bones

Bump for a good product. FOG shipped mine next day and I had them before I knew it.

He even includes installation instructions (and not just "remove existing dogbones. Put new ones in their place.")

P.S. - When you email FOG, remember to supply your forum name in addition to your real name so he can match up each request with the proper email account!
