Trying to save a 2001 ex500

ok so i recently aquired a 2001 Ninja 500r for the low price of 350$ it runs but rough trying to get that worked out. anyway the couple things i am looking for at the moment are

front fairing brace
a set of spare carbs

any clues as to how the headlight mounts (attached with zipties)

It looks rough at the moment with no plastics on it cause there were all busted but i am gonna get some replacements from airtech so thats covered.

Spare carbs, contact member Ducatiman.
He does a lot of refurbs.

Headlight attatches to the factory upper fairing with 4 bolts.
Airtech stuff is fiberglass and has no mounting points made into them.
You'll have to make your own if you go that route with using their parts.

I do the fairing repair and painting around here, so if you'd rather fix your existing stuff just let me know. I have some pics of my work in the "For Sale" section.
Price to repair and paint is pretty comparable to the fiberglass stuff.
You can email me with pics at and I'll get you a quote.

Being in pieces is not a big deal. Haha
When I said repairs, I literally mean I put busted stuff back together with actual hot air and hot iron welding.

That red fairing in those pics was one that arrived in a box and was 4 separate pieces. LOL

But no problem.
If you still want to send some pics I may see about giving you a few bucks for your busted stuff if I can.

And as far as your carb stuff... Ducatiman has good prices on different levels of rebuild kits too, not just refurbed carb sets.

I am looking for an upper fairing to buy, I would love to see pictures of your fairing. Even if its broken, my fairing is missing one side. If you are going to just buy all now fairings, I would love to try and make a deal with you.

Turns out I'm not gonna need it afterall right now as Meachum picked up another one for me to do for him.

Hang on to it though, I may still wind up getting it in a few weeks to keep around the shop if needed for something different.
