Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

Thanx-
hopefully they realize that they need me at work and not think that they can make it w/out me.... That's my concern! I'll be back on the bike this spring and I have talked to D&D on the phone about 1 can for a reasonable price- they only want to sell full systems but will sell me 1 can w/o a warranty.

1990 EX500 - 11,200miles - Sport deamons - full Leovance (2-1 header w/ the Leo noise maker glued on the end) - Constantly adjusting jetted carbs - Barnett clutch springs - EBC front pads & Disc, SS brake line.  Rearsets, alum. pegs, new chain& fresh paint.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

I'm going to school at UW-Platteville and just recently started a motorcycle club here on campus. Our first ride is going to be this Saturday May 2nd. We have a Facebook group that you can check out here, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gi...6882412&ref=nf My roommate and I keep it updated too. Only bad part is this semester is almost over and I'll be living in Bloomington, IL for the summer. But if anyone is in the the vicinity and wants to cruise hit me up or check the facebook group.

I hate you all with your cheap bikes.

The only way you'd get a bike that cheap here is if it were broken.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

Powerpac is a good place to get this and that, but their shop rates are straight rape. Buying tires there is easily 50-100 over internet pricing. You can get them cheaper from DennisKirk.com or Sportbiketrackgear.com. the front doesn't look to bad, unsure about the rear, but if you're looking to replace both the front and rear tires i recommend getting the 110/150 setup of Michelin Pilot Power tires from Sportbiketrackgear.com. great tires at a great price. otherwise 110/90 and a 130/90 is an odd size and most pleases don't stock them. Pirelli Demons (i think) are that size, and they are good tires as well. i had 110/150 Michies on my EX500 when i had it. i enjoyed those tires quite a bit.

carb work... it's easy to do. do it yourself using the guides on the site. i could also listen to it if i think it's not running right. just lemme know.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

Vulcan Riders and Owners Group annual ride in Boscobel is coming up in June. I haven't had a Vulcan in years - nobody cares! It is usually a four day event, Thursday through Sunday, but folks get there whenever. Last year some of went through Mindoro Cut (freakin' awesome!!) and Wildcat Mtn. Tons of fun. If anyone is interested in attending, let me know.

Racine here...

Work in franklin/milwaukee, depending on what I am doing.

Tomahawk is a hike though... wonder if they finished that stupid bridge through the center of town... its like a 10 mile detour to go around.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

check out Wisconsinsportbike.net too Masta, if you're interested in well managed, CHEAP trackdays, that's the place to go. 'Doc' is the forum admin, he's also a Motovid (Trackday organizer) employee who handles forum discounts and things of that nature. real good guy, his name is Jim.

there's lot of other people in your area and we're mostly a performance riding group, but very very level headed.
