Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

im in sheboygan falls, on the east coast. Always lookin 4 ppl to ride with. My good buddy just picked up a new (off the showroom floor leftover) 05 EX500. Its freaky to see how bulletproof this bike is cuz it looks tha same as my 90- except for the header, pipe and race stickers

1990 EX500 - 11,200miles - Sport deamons - full Leovance (2-1 header w/ the Leo noise maker glued on the end) - Constantly adjusting jetted carbs - Barnett clutch springs - EBC front pads & Disc, SS brake line.  Rearsets, alum. pegs, new chain& fresh paint.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

I live in WI.
Oak Creek to be exact. 27miles north of the border.
I currently am riding a 2007 Ninja 500R but wont be next summer.
I think my riding days are over as of this Monday (11/5/07).

next summer, it's one of a few bikes. Not sure what yet:

Yamaha FZ6
Suzuki V-Strom 600 or 1000
Kawa ZZR
Kawa Ninja 650

I like the ZZR but find it odd that its not FI..and has carbs. That seems odd.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

Hey knightslugger I'm new to the site as I just bought my bike last august...I think I remember seeing you around town last summer as you ride the same bike as my friend except a year older. I'd totally be up for a ride this spring/summer especially since everybody I know has sold their bikes or moved away!

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

No my bike has the factory pipes but has no plastics on the front end at all. As for the races in June I'm not sure as I'm going to HIN in May and I've got to check with my school/work schedules. Sorry it took me so long to reply I just bought a 240sx so I've been busy with that lately.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

I'm getting my R shoulder fixed up on wednesday and am unsure how long I'll be out of commision (6-8 weeks off of work, but actually 100% is yet tbd) My bike is still banged up from the last track day and 6-8 wks off of work isnt going to help me afford the parts and pieces that I need either.

Re: Wisconsin Riders! POST UP!

how bad is it? i know the upper was a little banged up, and your "pipe" was knarly, but IIRC you were still riding that sucker after for a little while anyway. couldn't have been too bad.
