I still rode mine into work today! I'm not putting this bike away until there is salt on the road. Or my fiance makes me...

Re: Canadians!

I also am in Kitchener-Waterloo.

One of these days I'll cave in and do all the winterizing, but it seems like there are a few more days of good riding weather left.

Where abouts in KW? What does your bike look like, I may have seen you before. I actually have yet to meet anybody from KW who rides...having no friends that ride either is boring!

I'm a lonly rider, haha...

Rides usually start a couple blocks from the Aud, and end up who-knows-where. Out to Stratford for a cup of coffee is probably the most frequent.

Looks kinda like:

I love the EX but I got the itch for a 4cyl, so I've been toodling around for the last week or so on:

Re: Canadians!

Still have your EX then?

That's a nice looking bike. I'd love to upgrade, but I've yet to come close to the potential performance of the 500. Once I master the 500, I'll move on

I can't bring myself to part with the EX. It's a great bike, and there are many many miles to go before I have her mastered. It's a different sort of ride than the yzf600, for sure, but both of them are a tonne of fun in their own ways.

Re: Canadians!

Nice, well maybe we'll meet up next season for a ride. And if you decide to sell, PM me, I've got a friend looking for a bike next season and I'm pushing him away from 600's and towards a 500.

Re: Canadians!

Sweet, lots of fairly local riders. We should do a summer meet up.

Re: Canadians!

Welcome to the board. I'm just hoping I can find time for a ride before it's too cold. Made it out for about 45 minutes last night, and was pretty balmy given it's mid-November.

Re: Canadians!

Hey all!

I'm up in Ottawa as well, put the bike away (in Peterborough) on the weekend... I guess I will spend the winter reading over mods and tips to work on for next season! This was my first riding season, and a good one at that!

Cheers,

Dave

Welcome to the board Dave. Our Canadian section will soon be active enough to rival all the US sections! Bwu-haha!

Re: Canadians!

There's a very short road I know of, which isn't too far from Conestoga actually. It's called Puddicomb Road, it runs between Bridge Street and Huron Road. Puddicomb Road has a few twisties which you can get pretty low on. The Huron Road area isn't too bad either.

If you're into twisties, this area really sucks for it. The chicken strips on my tires are pretty wide!

On the plus side, there's practically never cops down those roads. Forks of the Credit is about an hour drive away, you've probably heard of it though I'm guessing...

Re: Canadians!

cool, i'll check that place out. and yeah my buddy and I when up to the forks a couple of times this season... and snake road too. We usually ride around Geulph Line, Appleby Line, and all the Side Rds.. No.2, No.5. they're all good.

Nice. I'd love to hit up a ride with you guys before the snow flies, but work is keeping me super busy. I could possibly have time this Sunday, but who knows...

Re: Canadians!

Okay, no rides for me. My chain has a bad link, and although I still put in 3 hours on it after finding it, my little EX has retired for the year. Stabilizer goes in the tank this week.

Looks like we'll have to meet up in the spring. Maybe we can organize a maintenance day or something. I've got a garage if needed
