Calling geeperza

Jim,

If you're around any chance of letting me know what model your KTM is?

I'm quite liking the goat tracks at the moment and looking into what's about.

I seem to remember yours is quite tall, and I might struggle with one like that...... Do you know of anything similar, but for a shorter person?

Re: Calling geeperza

hey mate theyre just having this conversation on one of the other forums. mine is a 990 adventure 07plate it seems if youre going goat riding to get used to shifting your arse off the seat as once its moving its ok saying that a few of the guys who struggle with the height use a Yamaha xt660 with lowered seat or the suzike drz400 is also a great machine. depends on how much slab you are riding to get to go play. if its less than 100mile id even go for some of the 250 2smokes. kick start is great cos the battery wont leave you trying to start a bike that youve dropped for the tenth time in an hour! get a leatt or similar neckbrace and armour too. and good boots.
but seriously theres a bloke who is just 5ft riding a ktm990 adventure R which is taller than mine and he loves it also a girl about the same height but she runs an adventure riding school so doesnt really count!
ride a few and see what suits you, if you can get over the seat being too tall at rest youll be left with a bike that has the clearance to go over more stuff without bottoming out.

If you are going to do something do it with conviction!
