It will be a weekend thing all members and friends are welcome a two night stay would make it easy for most... Meet say Friday afternoon at dig's stay that night ride Saturday stay Saturday night go home Sunday.

The place i have in mind to stay is a place in Betws-y-Coed .... A good place to start any ride in North Wales - Link http://www.thevagabond.co.uk/great-b...llent-service/.
The accommodation is bunk house style and very cheep.

The ride will take place on the Saturday.... Leave Betws-y-Coed and head for Bala lake for a brew then on to Barmouth for a brew and a snack then from Barmouth to Tywyn down one of the best keep secrets roads in North Wales quick brew in Tywyn then on to Lake Vynwy for the last brew of the day before heading back to the dig's for a night on the beer.
Total miles for the day will be 175.

I will gage the interest and contact the above dig's after Christmas to see if i can get any discount for any numbers that what to come.

This meet will be on a turn up and ride basis just because of the need to book the bunk house... All deposits for said bunk hose will have to be payed by a date to gain ... any discount and will be non refundable.

The more the merrier... Plus if any one say's the R word they can buy the first round.

Re: GPZ MEET 2014

Well this turned out to be a good week end after all.... even though only 2 of us went and one turned up on the Saturday ride.

Friday, meeting Luke at Helsby service station well Luke was a bit late Ha Ha well over a hour then the rain started and went off and on all day but we still managed to get to the pondarose cafe on the Horse shoe pass for dinner then we took off for the digs at
Betw-y-Coed.
The dig's i would say where cheep basic and a bit run down but perfect for a place to sleep.
Saturday morning was damp and a bit drizzly on the way to Bala but was showing sign's of clearing up.... arrived at Bala to meet how ever was coming only to find no one was their. So me and Luke changed the ride to try to keep dry for the rest of the day... The weather on my phone said Barmouth was dry and Tywyn and Lake Vyrnwy was wet all day ... So Barmouth it was.

We arrived at Barmouth just about mid day and very hungry.... So when at the sea side fish and chip is a must.
We took a bit of a walk around Barmouth and then went back to the bike's that where parked on the sea front only to find Mirmay off the UK site.... He tried to start his bike that morning to meet us at Bala but the starter clutch had broken and his bike would not start but decided to meet us at Barmout instead. The ride back to Bala was the best part of the day as it stayed dry and the was not much traffic around so we at least had a bit of fun .

Brew at Bala and back to the dig's... Now Luke had had a very bad night's sleep on the Friday night so was not looking forward to an other one one so he had his tea with me at Betw-y-Coed and went home because he had work on the Sunday morning.
Ha Ha but not all was lost as the was 4 lads from Southampton in my room and when they found out i was by my self they asked me out on the town with them.... They had been claiming on Snowdon Ha Ha i never new what i had let myself in for. I had told them i can not drink any more but that never stopped them getting me stinking drunk.

This group of young lad's had been all over the world claiming and bloody base jumping and they all had their phones full of footage that i could not watch.... Mad but a good bunch of fun.

Any way a bit hung over and feeling a bit worse for wear i decided to do the bit of the trip we missed out the day before
IE. Lake Vyrnwy but when i got to Bala the was 2 lad's from Leed's that had come that way and told me that they could not see 20yd's in front of them and it was raining as well sooooooo it was plan 2 .... Tywyn and this turned out to be the best bit of the week end dry warm and no traffic.

Pictures of the week end .... video to come a bit later
