August Bank Holiday

Short notice I know, but on another forum there is a ride out on Monday, starting at Clitheroe, on some excellent roads, so if anyone in the North West wants to go PM me and I'll let you know the times and meet place.

Chances are it will rain,

John.

LOL, We stopped here for an early morning brew and cream cake, as we were pulling on to the car park a 996 "foggy" rep and a new panigale were just leaving. The road runs round behind the village with a steep climb out to the top of the hill's. We could here the "booming" of the duc's echoing accross the valley untill they started to drop down the other side, it's a very quiet village....normally,

Re: August Bank Holiday

Ducati country...i just knew it!

Foggy was an amazing rider. Me and FloridaEX500 saw him in the pits at Daytona , late 90's after his retirement.

Damn, I love those little twisty roads, and the mountain passes must be breathtaking to ride through. Reminiscent of the Isle of Man, I know its just offshore out to the west.

Re: August Bank Holiday

Bumped in to Foggy, and, Whitham a few times when we have been out, Foggy lives local to me and he and Whitahm do a good deal of "off road" riding around here.

Might be going to the I o M in September, it's in the planning but nothing definite yet. If it happens there will be a write-up and lot's of pic's,

I've met him a couple of times. That was at the Manchester Bike Show 2012.
