Re: Leighton Hall Sprint

It should be interesting, It's a new event so no idea what the turnout will be.

Pic's will be on tomorrow night,

I've done events at Leighton Hall before, with the Landrover club, It's a beautifull place. Opened the caravan door one morning to find 2 deer in the awning, they didn't run, just looked up at me and wandered off out. Kid's were only young then, they thought it was great,

A really nice piece of engineering, and, very rare to boot. I took a pic of the information board he had on the front of the bike, but it has come out blurred...bugger, .

I was amazed at the number of classes and the number of entrants, ranging from under 100cc to full blown race speck superbikes along with sidecar units and even a class for 3 Wheeler's.

What made me laugh, was the higher spec, modern bike's...aka, cbr600 gsxr 750 etc were running in the low 9's and along come's Mr Mcguinness on his crf450, running mid to high 8.s as they say " the man can ride" and he's not to bad at getting of the line either,

As I say, a very good (if somewhat long) day out, and the event was much better than I was expecting It's already in my diary for next year.

Re: Leighton Hall Sprint

No date announced yet for September 2015, but if it's the first or the last weekend I'll be there. I'd like to have a close look at that Jones bike...

I started out with nothing, and I've still got most of it left

Re: Leighton Hall Sprint

Just had a look at the Leighton Hall event's calander, still no date's set for this yet. I hope it takes place again this year, it was a really good well organised event, we need more of this sort of thing.
