hey, great. i read you two were kicking around visiting her parents. hey, IF you're going to FLA, "bikeweek" is THE week.

brooklyn, i'll do my best refraining  Roll Eyes     1-2....races? what races?  Grin

sprinkster...yup lots of bikes. by the end of the week, i'm harleyed out, so tired of hearing loud exhaust. hot chicks? o'course...storm 'n roxy'll be there!  Wink  (hopefully)

i so need deserve some sunshine and warmth.

on another note, the Superbike field seems v thin , at this point at least. the AHRMA (Vintage) races earlier in the week are lookin better and better.

did the AHRMA races today. awesome antique and classic racing. for me, easily as much fun as the AMA stuff.  we invaded pit/garage area and were welcomed in to take close-ups. Met d!@k Klamfoth, he won in 1960 on the beach course. Met Dave Roper, a legend in classic racing (and from long island, too) and Jay Springsteen graced me with a pose in front of his Harley roadracer for a great pic.

Much fun, much walking, high winds and cool about 70. PERFECT. i got about 100 pictures. hers a few.

used to be belt drive. with weight, i suspect they become like sliders.

KS, I've got to believe the rollers are there as chain guides, like many dirt bikes. When the swingarm travels through it's range of motion, it prevents the chain from rubbing on it. Most current bikes have the output shaft close to the swingarm pivot to eliminate this issue. Can't say whether or not this bike was belt drive at one time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

onetwo....thats correct. rollers support chain throughout motion of swingarm and maintains chain to sprocket geometry.

i'm home, i'm temporarily biked out. Don't want to hear loud Harley exhaust again till next year (never again would be ok too  Grin )

i achieved everything i wanted there and more. Highlights:

attended AHRMA garages and races
ditto AMA
took approx 250 digipics (to go on '10 CD)
ate a ton of Plant City strawberries
actually rode an EX500  Shocked  to the track and locally
got my brothers 2nd EX running pretty darn good for him
made a great BFF (you know who you are  Wink )

an awesome trip. back to the grind Monday. ugh.

teaser pic......Aermachhi

pass what up?

u asked earlier in thread about Fla roads. much cleaner than here. NO potholes (looks like beruit, lebanon here after winter)
the roads are kinda boring down there, but theres good places in the country areas off the highways.

SO much fun, already plan on AHRMA races for next year, classics really appeal to this old guy.
