im looking for a company to transport my ninja from Santa Cruz, CA to Santa Barbara, CA (Norcal to Socal)... anybody know of an affordable company?

Why not ride it down & get a bus back? Probably be much cheaper.

stuff get lost in shipping trust me I'm still getting mail and packages from when i was over seas almost 2 years ago.  ride and bus Easter week end no school will help with the time crunch issue.  beside mom's love to see their school boys home.

Here's a novel Idea,

When I moved to Arkansas from Connecticut The moving van that hauled my stuff also had a car on it. that didn't belong to me. They were just delivering it somewhere.  I also had them carry and heavy milling machine for me that they could not lift. I made arrangements for them to stop at a construction company in AR that would off load the machine and deliver it to me.

This is just to say that a moving company like Mayflower or whoever may be willing to take the thing point to point for you. Just be sure to make the arrangements such that they are not delayed as either end very much. like a truck terminal where you can pick it up.
