Going by the new Braves stadium, about 3.5 minutes in. Then off to get some chain lube. Bonus clutch action. https://youtu.be/r2CghYAuFUE
Thought, that looks familiar.....just South of Dobbins AFB? My folks live the other side of town.....Forest Park, near Fort Gillem. Haven't been back since '06 or so.....sean

Not a go pro. Just a cheap one, I forget the name. Your not hearing a misfire, just poor audio. But in the cameras defense, it is contained within a waterproof case. More videos to come, maybe others will show where they live.

XT action today. A ride down Peachtree. 3min 25sec in going through intersection where Margaret Mitchell (author of Gone with the wind) was killed. 5min 25sec in going by the Fox theater. Venue where Lynyrd Skynyrd (greatest southern rock band of all time) recorded their infamous One more from the road album.

Here is a short vid from where I live. It goes from my neighborhood on a route my wife and I ride pretty often on our bicycles.

You even get to see a typical idiot California driver violate my right of way about a minute and a half in.

It is edited pretty heavily...I wanted to mainly do a short 6 minute or so video with some music dubbed in.

I taped over the microphone on the camera with some scotch tape and it absolutely killed the wind noise.

Anyway, this was mostly an experiment...my camera angle is off so I'll have to address that on my next vid.

Music credits go to Todd Rundgren for Bang the Drum All Day and Cake for Stickshifts and Safety Belts

^Nice, but if you are taking requests, I would like to see some Height Asbury district footage, along with the proper Scott McKenzie sound tract. Plus a San Francisco based band of your choice (from the 60's).

LoL....I'll try. Given that I'm not in The City that much I'll try to remember to take the camera next time I go.

Seriously though, I haven't ridden through the Haight in about 15 years or so. Haight Ashbury is just two blocks long. Pretty much both directions on Haight street from the intersection with Ashbury street.

15 years ago, it looked much like it did in the 1960s with hippies selling hand made crap from blankets spread out on the sidewalk while they sat and smoked a little weed.

The Haight district pretty much runs the length of Haight Street. From a riding perspective, it would bore the crap out of people.

It's straight, with lots of stop signs and 3-4 story buildings on each side. IOW, no view, nothing to see really.

There are some really cool places in The City to ride to.....but the amount of traffic you deal with to get anywhere is stupid. Think Atlanta freeway traffic but at a standstill.

Next time I go, I'll try to remember the camera and shoot a little vid for you though. Are you cool with Jefferson Airplane? LoL.......sean

^ Atlanta traffic has gotten worse since you were here. They estimate we're burning over 1,000,000 gallons of gas per day, just idling in traffic. We are in fact the biggest consumers of gas in the world, even more so than New York, and Los Angeles.

Last time I was in Atlanta was probably 10 years ago. Traffic on the freeway was bumper to bumper and around 80 mph. Not that I complained.

Here it seems as though you get going, then you stop for no apparent reason, then everyone is going full throttle to do the same thing again.

Then you get into the Bay Area.....and traffic can be fine or it can suck. Mostly though, it sucks. City traffic is its own beast. At least, The City is bike friendly.....for the most part.

You can even find twisties throughout the ATL. Everybody loves a twisty. If anyone has a protractor handy, I think I hit a 60 degree lean here.

How do you make your hands do not freeze? I put on wool gloves under the motorcycle gloves but even so my fingers hurt. To relieve some cold I heat my hands on the head of the engine while waiting at stoplights, but still I feel that sometimes it is not enough.

I was wearing freeze-out liners under my gloves, and they still got numb half way through. I pull over a lot when it is cold, to let the engine warm back up to operating temperature, and I usually put my hands on the exhaust to warm them up.
