Digital gauge cluster on EX500

Hey, has anyone on here tried to put a digital gauge cluster On an ex500? I am looking at getting one from a ex300 But Iím not sure how well it all plugged up or how much cost of work there might be. Anyone have any ideas or tips that might help? Iím relatively new at this so any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the ex300 has an ECU so it wouldn't plug and play. The 500R uses an analog wheel speed sensor and gauges.

It would be an interesting project making a 500 fuel injected and adding the wiring loom though. Not sure of the actual feasibility of this.

Here's a write-up on installing 2001 R1 gauges on an RZ350.
Does not directly relate to the EX500, but gives an idea of what needs to be done to make it work. Will be much easier getting an Acewell or TrailTech though, since they will have all connectors and instructions for install, but can be done with enough time and effort. There are a couple posts of EX owners installing chinese gauges, just google "digital gauges on EX500" should help with whatever gauges you try.

First question is, why do you want to do this? I put a TrailTech guage on my ex500 when I streetfightered it. I can share pics and info if that's what you're trying to do.

I'm not sure if this is up your ally, but it's an option that I'm leaning towards as well. There's plenty of apps out there on the phone to track your mph/kmh and it's quite accurate for what it's worth. It's free too! My speedometer is 20 mph off so I am debating on just getting a good phone mount and using my phone as an indicator lol. The prices on these digital clusters are just ridiculous!
