Plastics compatibility?

Soooooooooooooo,

I was wondering if, knowing they didn't really change the platform for almost 30 years, if anyone has tested/knows if the 2012/2013 ex250 front fairings and lights will fit, bolt-on, on a 2006 ex500?

Thanks in advance!

Frames are different. Instruments are different. Wheelbase is different. Wiring is different. Fairing mounts, radiator etc. are all different. About the only thing the same is the "Kawasaki" on the side. Having said that, if you get a killer deal on an EX300 fairing, it can be made to fit. Not saying it will be easy, but if you bring it off, it will be a killed looking bike. You will need some fabricating skills, as the mounts and hard parts will be in totally different locations. Some cut and try - it will not be fquickly done. Good winter project.

yeah good look with that. strange though how you state the format has not changed for 30 years then compere one where the format was changed. if it's any consolation when doing the first gen 1 rebuild I got hold of a ZX7 front end to try. got it to fit as a mock up with duct tape and tie bands. but it just did not look right the ZX7 is much bigger bike so the scale was all wrong.
