UPDATE 5/19/2019: Webisite is back up. Please let me know if you have any problems ordering.
I have put together a kit containing parts needed to remove the PAIR system. It includes two block-off plates, a blanking grommet for the air box, and a carb vacuum cap. The block-off plates are made of 11 gauge (3mm) 304 stainless steel. In my opinion they are much nicer than the OEM available block-offs and MUCH cheaper. The OEM plates alone are $15 EACH and not available within the US. My kit (minus shipping) is the same price as one OEM plate!!
Selling them for $15.50 per kit plus USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate w/delivery confirmation (currently $7.50). The kits pack small so I could probably fit up to 8 in a single small flat-rate box (if you needed more than one). I also can provide OEM Kawasaki gaskets for $6/pair more. There is also an option for a semi-gloss black powder coat for only $5/pair!
Im an idiot.. but what does PAIR mean? These look really well made!!
No worries. In fact I should have explained it in the first place!
I am pretty sure that PAIR stands for Passive Air Injection Reactor. This is a set of components that sits on top of the engine and is part of the bikes emission system. It's purpose is to add air from the airbox into the exhaust in order to allow for the continued combustion of unburnt fuel from the combustion chamber.
The benefits to removing the system from the bike is allowing for easier access to the spark plugs and top area of the engine. This makes maintenance in that part of the bike easier since there are less components to get in the way. Other also consider removing the PAIR system as a plus since it is once less piece to malfunction although honestly I don't see how the valve not working properly could cause a problem. I could see that if one of the hoses dry rotted and cracked you could have performance issues (to test start the bike and remove the hose connected from the PAIR to the carb without capping the vacuum nipple on the carb.
Since this is an emissions item I am selling the kit for off-road use only and targeted for racers for whom I would think that the PAIR system would be one of the first things to go since every bit of weight reduction matters (I don't race so I am speculating here).
I try to over make the products I sell and won't sell something that I wouldn't use on my own bikes. They are made of laser cut 11 gauge stainless steel where as the OEM piece appear to be plated non-stainless steel. The available gasket are straight from Kawasaki and are specifically made to be used with block-off plates. The gaskets I have are NOT the same as the rubber seals installed around the valve assembly you have in your bike and allow for the removal of the valve all together.
Thanks for looking! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you everyone for your continued interest in my PAIR removal kit. As of 2012.03.09 the PAIR kits are temporarily sold out. I have an order in for more and they are expected to be back in stock in about 2 weeks (est: 2012.03.26). I will update this thread as soon as I get more in.
