local guy to help work on my bike needed

I am having a hard time getting this bike together. I'm into the carbs now and could use some help going through the bike to make sure its safe. I was a loner guy, so I have to reach out a lot now to get this done.
I found a shop in Auburn to do my carbs, but can not find em again (American Motorcyle?). A few bolt-ons I know about also, but really want to go through the bike to know what I'm looking at too. Not interested in going to the dealer to have my bike fixed. I'm more interested in DIY.

If you are looking for someone local perhaps you should say where local is.

You mentioned Auburn, was that Auburn CA? If so there is a great shop in Sacramento, it literally is a hole in the wall. The guy has been working on bikes there for 30 year and has very reasonable rates. He did my carbs and my valves 2 years ago. If you want I can track down his info.

Auburn CA as in Auburn California. King county is a bit of a drive. If you lived closer I would be happy to lend you a hand.

Re: local guy to help work on my bike needed

Seattle / Tacoma Washington. I took my bike in and $400 to clean and balance my carbs is not ok. I'm rebuilding these on my own now. I have a budget of $100 to help me. I'm also interested in how to make sure my bike will be safe to ride as my #1 concern. I bought it used and have no clue if the bike is straight or safe. If I can find somebody local to Tacoma, WA that would be awesome. TY for looking~*

If I lived near you I would do it for a bottle of Horny Devil Ale.

Alas... this is Ohio.

Re: local guy to help work on my bike needed

I'm getting progress into these carbs. Haha I tried to run my own o-rings, and they are not working either. Finding ordering parts a lot for this bike, bc things just don't fit well otherwise. I have the old bike old parts thinking. $2 for a washer or bolt is rediculous. Especially if I need 6+ parts at that price Grrrrrrrrr!!! This bike is taking me forever or costing a leg. Any1 wanna buy it Hahaha.....
