Hollister, 45 miles south of San Jose. Ride back and forth to Santa Clara for work each day. Never ride for fun. Sucks getting old..

Objects in your mirror may be closer then they appear...

I live in Woodside, near Redwood City. Ride for fun and work, bike's a bit more modified than when I got it though

sounds like carb issues? have you taken them apart, cleaned everything? If you can make it up here, I'd be happy to help you.

Re: Got Nor Cal Riders?

Oakland for me.

Hey, Alameda/San Leandro ppl, anyone got a factory service manual I can borrow? I want to scan the maintenance stuff cuz the one's I've seen on eBay/Craigslist aren't so good. I think the factory has the best diagrams and info. Supplement or base manual... whichever one has chain + engine maint. info.

Thanks, Justin

also on BARF sometimes

Also, plug for Godspeed I went there a couple times. They're a cool shop that does free inspections @ 55th and San Pablo [Oakland, almost in Emeryville]. You can also get tattoos and food there too www.godspeed.bz

Re: Got Nor Cal Riders?

Fairfield here. On BARF as NorCalRSVR. 1991 EX500 was my wifes first bike. It's mine now to do with what I like but it ain't running at the moment. Got the tank and body work off, carbs need a rebuild, seat needs recovering and I'll need new tires too as the ones on the bike have been on since 1998 or so. It's been parked since 2002. I've got several other bikes though and keeping up with all of them and my cars too means I rarely have time for the EX. Really considering a light weight twin project though, not sure exactly what I'm going to end up doing. My old GSX-R750 has to go so once that's gone, I'll start on the EX. I've seen some killer 500s in Japan that I'd like to do the EX like but most of those require new chassis and/or body work only available over there. So, once I make some progress on the bike I'll post up pictures of each project as I get through them. See ya around the board.............sean

Mostly a fair weather rider...being almost as old as the speed limit, cold and wet just don't get it!
