Re: Puget Sound Area?

Hey, I'm Chris and I'm brand new here. I'm in Bothell, just started riding altogether and I have my first bike - a silver 04 500R. Just took the MSF course and got my endorsement, so I'm still learning. Makes my commute to work much more fun for sure!

Re: Puget Sound Area?

I've started seeing a ton or 500's. I rode on 167 the other day with someone with a silver one...saw a black one this morning...and a few others in the past month.
I think in the past 10 years, i've seen like 1 or 2...is the dealer trying to liquidate these or are the 500's just that good

Re: Puget Sound Area?

I don't get to ride yet, bc i been trying to fix this lemon i bought in Feb. I just wanted to shout out from current residence Browns Point. I have a rattle can blackie with white rims and whoot black exhaust cans. I can't wait to ride for my 1st time ever on this bike. My only biker friends so far ride Bobbers, so I'm the black sheep baaaaaaaaah............. I read though some of this freeway crap and I am a little concerned. ASAP I get my bike running I need to ride it to Lakewood 5 days a week. What am I gonna do if I can't afford the rider course yet. It is my only mode of transpo so far, but I don't want to be dead from riding my bike and being ignorant.

Re: Puget Sound Area?

Hi all, new 500R old fart owner here living on the eastside. Restarted riding two years ago after a fifty year hiatus, did the MSF course and then bought a Yamaha 250cc Virago. Last year sold it and bought a Suzuki 650cc Boulevard (Savage) for a little more umph on the freeways, but monkey butt and small tank both killing me. So last week I bought a new Ninja 500R and I'm loving it. Completed the 600 miles at 52mph max, dooh!) and then got the first (dealer) service done this week, so now I am good to go. The bike seems well engineered to me but I guess that goes with the age of this particular model.

Old man noob in the Auburn Kent Fed Way area usually. Pearl white '87 EX500A1 that looks all stock, but sounds Cobra F-1. I ride the Green Valley Road during off hours when it is a bit more fun. It's my work commute.

Re: Puget Sound Area?

New here and newly back into riding after a 12 year hiatus but use to ride exclusively for 10 years. Just got the bug again and picked up a blue 09 EX-500 cos of the special pricing going on right now. Put less than 100miles on it so far but looking forward to finding some curves and putting some miles between me and the big city. Also looking for local rides to hit up for an hour or two ride during he week.
Love the bike so far and can't wait to getting over the break in period (literally, I can not wait 800miles to wind her up).
Look forward to seeing you all out there on the road!

What dealer did you get your bike from? I'm also looking at getting one soon whenever I can convince myself to do so. I really want a blue one but they seem to be a lot harder to find than the black! There is one dealer close by that has one left supposedly so I may go look at it tomorrow. Price is supposed to be about $4700 OTD which includes taxes and dealer fees and all that.

I got mine from Bellevue Kawasaki but I think I got their last Blue one. $4700 sounds about right if it includes everything. I paid $3999 but add to that dealer setup etc. which was about $400 and tax was over $400 so $4700 sounds like a good deal. RMC I think only has the black one. The blue one is hard to find but I think the color is awesome. In the sun it looks blue but in the evening I find it looks like aqua green. Really nice so good luck on your search.

Anyone riding this weekend??

Yeah RMC only has black, and the sales person I talked to claimed it only came in black. O_o
