-1 front sprocket on 2nd gen

any risk of damage to the bike for high revs on the freeway?

currently 16/41 (stock), and I will need chain/sprockets soon...I bought a $18 front sprocket to try out the -1 before I committed to a new full set. it definitely feels a wee better on the pickup and can clutch a first gear wheelie a little easier

now in CA, I am periodically above 8k rpm on the freeways to stay safe - will extended riding at high rpm's grenade the motor much earlier than usual?

They come alive at 7K and will not suffer one bit at that RPM on the freeway. Might get a bit tiresome if you ride long distance. If you city ride, it will be an improvement.

I finally figured out why I like Ducatis: With their exhaust note and dry clutch, they sound almost like a Guzzi!

Could you post a link for where you found the -1 sprocket I've looked all over and have been wanting to try it out

Interested to see if you have any interference or wear issues with the swingarm pivot. I investigated going to smaller sprocket, but didn't trust the clearance.

Always looking for my next favorite motorcycle.
