CCT gen 1 or 2?

Hi, can i see if my CCT has been changed to a Gen 2 without taking it out? Is there a visible difference? Also is it possible to change the gear shift shaft seal without removing the engine?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: CCT gen 1 or 2?

see the wiki for CCT differences, but yours would have to be visually inspected to be sure.

Yes, the shift shaft cover seal can be changed without engine removal, tricky though.

A search may reveal a thread or 2. Have a replacement cover gasket on hand as well.
