I collected another stray in the garage....

I think my wife is starting to despair of me. I have brought another bike home, and she is fearful I am turning into the male equivalent of a "crazy cat lady".

Let's have a bit of fun with this one, and guess the make and model.

1) It's red. (Wow....not helpful at all really. But that goes with the red VFR and red 996).

2) It's Japanese.

3) Like the VFR and 996, it also has a single-sided swingarm.

Guess away....

2007 Kawasaki EX-500 Ninja
2003 Honda Goldwing
2001 Honda VFR 800
2000 Kawasaki KDX 200
1999 Ducati 996 BiPosto

I guess the clue was in the Michigan thread. It looks like there are more great trips in your future.

It is a big bike, no doubt about it. A lot of weight and a lot of width to manage, going to take some getting used to. But when it's up and rolling it's butter smooth and the seat is like a favorite armchair. I can see miles are easy on this rig.

I'm looking for bike for when track crack adrenaline-rush wears off in my senior years. Still can't quite see myself riding Wing though... Maybe biggest I'd go might be one of these. About 250-lbs less than Wing. Dirt-cheap at police auctions...

So @Davenay67 is that bike #5 in your garage now?

There was a time when I would have never been seen dead on a wing myself. After any long journey that has wracked your body, you look to better ways to make that journey. I definitely want to make more longer trips in the future, this is the bike to do them on.

Surprisingly, the wing is big fun. I find myself riding slower, enjoying the cruise, and appreciating the butter smooth ride and supremely comfy seat. The boys and the wife love riding ont he back of the wing as well. Family favorite.

Not counting thing the dirt bikes, yes. Counting the 3 TTR's that the boys ride, the actual count is 8. I am sending the EX to live with my son in the next day or two, so the count will be down to 7.

Looks nice, Davenay! And don't worry about it's weight. A few years ago at The Dragon there was an "old guy" and his wife on a Wing and both me and my buddy were very impressed the way he zipped through the corners! We caught up to him at the end and he said he was retired and riding all over the country. (IIRC he stated he was 72 years old.) His wing was no issue at all to him!

I'll also add, more years ago while at the Thunder in the Valley we jumped into the group ride to see the 9-11 crash site (before the memorial was built) and the was a guy on a Wing a few bikes up in front of me. He has his daughter on the back (she's about 12 years old) and he yanks his hand backwards swerving the bike.
When we got to the sight and dismounted he came back and apologized for swerving. When I asked what happened he said the Wing is so comfortable that his daughter was falling asleep and started to lean off the bike!!!

Enjoy your new ride!
