I kinda connect with that.....my very first helmet, the first one I ever actually paid money for, rather than inherited was a Nolan N25 way back in 1991.

Also, my most current lid is an XLite X-802RR carbon, which is a Nolan by another name.

If one looks closely, you'll see "Reparto Corse Nolan Group" and a tiny Italian flag right under the visor and above the extractor vent in the chin bar.....sean

RevelEX Shoei GT-Air. The internal visor is very nice to have.

john z I have an AGV k5 s. The airflow is amazing at any speed, it does not lift or buffet when you look around at highway+ speeds and the internal sun visor is a godsend. It seems like it is not dark enough, but I have ridden straight into a sunrise with no pain.
It is a little bit noisy and is mid range on price, but short of doubling the price, I have not tried on anything better.

Apriliarider I answered Scorpion in the poll as I have two currently in my rotation. One is an EXO2000R Bautista Replica, the other an EXO 710R Golden State helmet. My newest, is an XLite X803 Carbon SBK Replica which to be fair is made by Nolan. There is a Bell RS1 and a Kabuto Aeroblade III also in the rotation.

As I keep them in rotation, the Scorpions get worn more simply because there are 2 of them. If said I prefer one over the others, the EXO2000R wins out.....kinda. I only got the X803 later on last season and thus haven't ridden with it as much.

po18guy Some time back, I picked up some Icon Alliance Primary helmets from Iron Pony for $50. Made by HJC, if that shape fits your head. Also got an HJC AC-12 El Diablo from Dennis Kirk on clearance for $65 shipped. Most recently bought some Joe Rocket R1000X helmets on clearance for $50 shipped on eBay. One came with an extra dark shield in the box - almost the price of the helmet if bought separately. Lotsa deals if you are patient.

jkv357 I have a HJC RPHA-10 ST, and I can't complain. I got it for about 1/2 price from Riders Discount a few years ago.

I wore it 12 hours straight in windy and turbulent conditions on the Interstate, and it was never uncomfortable.

My son has an Arai, that he also got for about 1/2 list price, that's really nice but my HJC is more than adequate for me.

His head is worth a lot more than mine at this point...

I too have an HJC and it was bought because of the quality of fit not the price. I quite simply don't have an Arai shaped head. A properly fitting lid is far more useful than an expensive status symbol at the point of impact although I'm not in a great rush to test that theory.

Re: <<New Poll!>> Who manufactures your helmet?

A Shoie RF1000 saved my life when I totaled the VMAX. I hit my head three distinct time on hard thing link boulders and other rocks. The integrity held up quite well. I then bought a Shoie RF1100 and was wearing that when I hit a deer 2 years later. Again, I can't complain about the quality of the brain bucket at all. I have another Shoie RF1100 at the moment and due to get an upgrade sometime in the next year.

Re: <<New Poll!>> Who manufactures your helmet?

first helmet was Novak Cobra. Then an FM Endor. Then another FM Endor. Then an FM W10. Then a Lidl helmet.

all cost under £100 and pass the same safety tests as helmets costing 5 times as much.
