My best friend bought this bike new in spring 1987 - we were in High School. He liked to upgrade things a little. He bought the fiberglass full lower fairing, he painted the primary exhaust tubes, powder coated the wheels white. But he had trouble putting things back together. The bike had a few problems and I bough it in 1989. I dismantled the bike, rebuilt the carbs, adjusted the valves, repainted the primary tubes with high temp paint, reassembled the bike. It only had a few thousand miles. It now has 14k. It's an early model build date in December of 1986.
