History
Bought it for $300cdn - Had been in a roll over and didn't run. Had 30,000km on the odometer.
This is my first (and only) bike. It didn't run. Had been in a roll over, and hadn't been touched for 3 years. My roommate and I bought it and gave it the TLC it needed. Put about $2K and a good 200 hours of trial, error, and frustrated learning curve into it. Pretty happy with the results for being a complete noob. Been riding it a lot. Here are some progress photos. Including the concept drawing I did up before I even lifted a wrench. The only thing that isn't quite the way I want it would be the exhaust pipe, but that can still be changed a bit to match the concept drawing later. Gotta tell ya, it sure pays off to set goals before working on things.
Anyway... :) Was fun, and I'm so glad I took this rout instead of buying a new bike. I should also mention that EX-500.com was my main source of information and advice through all of this. If I hadn't been able to search the threads in the forums and learn from so many great members here - this would have been a much longer and far more frustrating project. Thanks so much everyone. :)

That looks pretty sick, really interesting what you've done with the dash. Do you just have a GPS/speedo app running while you ride?

:) Thanks! - I wanted to make a deadpool theme but not like a theme bike so much as one Wade/Deadpool would actually ride himself. I still plan on making some "ammo pouches" and such for it in case I have the opportunity to do any cosplay with it.

Yes - I grabbed a GPS Speedometer app and printed the enclosure to fit my old iPhoneSE. The phone gets pissy when the sun shines on it too long (over heats) but otherwise it works great and provides real time weather and road condition data. Wind direction in real time too. Plus it measures GForces and some other nifty telemetry - so that's pretty cool. Also - included Signal/Neutral/HighBeam indicators on the lower left of the cover.
