Here is what my sprocket looks like. Am I supposed to have them weld on the inner hub where it meets the sprocket? That weld on there looks good to me but not sure what it’s supposed to look like.

ok that sprocket has already been re welded.

So what could be causing it to slip? Would the combination of two loose bolts and one broken one cause the issue?
One other observation is that the small cylinders inside the starter clutch that are held in with springs kept falling out. I’m not sure what they are called but when I originally pulled off the flywheel one of them fell out. And just now when I was swapping the bolts two of them kept falling out as well. I added more tension by stretching the springs a little and that did the trick. I’m wondering if that was the issue?
