I have a 1992 EX500. The ignition switch may have been replaced in the past, as the wiring looks newer (wiring is not weathered or dusty and the connector is still white). Looking at the wiring diagram, Red goes from the ignition switch directly to the taillight. And this works great when the ignition switch is in the "Park" position. But there's no taillight when the bike is in the ON position. What am I missing? Does something in the gauge cluster make the connection (my gauge cluster is long gone), or do I have the wrong ignition switch?

6 wires to the connector, plus a brown wire that connects outside the big connector.

Okay. So.... why isn't it working? It should be switching the red lead on. TL1 is hot when the ignition is on, and not when it's off. For now I soldered a jumper wire between TL1 and TL2 so I can ride the bike.
