Yea I woke up with stroke symptoms last Sunday (the 26th) which is weird because i just had vertigo. With some luck I'll be back to work next week but I won't be able to drive. Currently it feels like I stood up too fast but basically all the time.

Do you know if there's anything special I would need to do with the dmv if I swap the 2009 engine into the 2001? Considering the condition it's the better way to go.

hmm no idea, but if the listing is truthful and the title is clean, i wouldn't expect any problems. it's not like bikes here actually get inspected... though i will still defer to our more experienced california members as i'm not the most well versed in the archaic ways of the dmv. dang though, strokes are no joke, take care of yourself my man. i'm sure work and good bike deals can wait heheh. health first as always!

I had a calcium score with a 200 score on one of my (ventricals)? so, I have a cardioligist now (57 non smoker; works out 6 days a week on cardio machine) thats me not the doc LOL> anyway, had a stress test, went all the way to the end, heart was good, upped my statin to 40, to get cholestrol down further, was on 20 or crestor which dropped me down to 150.

Its funny how nobody asked you about your heart, they cared more about the heart of your motorcycle LOL. I swapped out an engine on my 04 EX with another engine from an 04, the donor was an 800 mile engine, I still had the head done and the top of the cylinder cleaned up (slight warpage I guess) obviously different VINS, my frame matches my title and that is all I care about really. When I moved down to South FL, I had one bike, my 91 VFR. I had to go to the local police dept, as I had to have them inspect the Honda, so that when I went to the DMV in FL, I would present them with this form that the local NJ police dept. This is going back quite a few years 25 to be exact, so things may have changed.

Good luck on your healing and swapping out your engines, btw, this EX set up I have is the best yet, very robust engine, shifting loosened up a little too. PEacE

you have my sympathy, been suffering from the same condition myself for over 10years, it comes and goes though started after a mild stoke, which at times I thought I would never recover from (also the reason I was bike less for 5 years) apparently it can be associated with low blood pressure and low sugar sometimes. but considering the pharma pills I'm on that not surprising. hoping you get a quick recovery my friend.
