I'm pretty sure all the years had 2 color choices. Choices my year were red or green.

thanks for the colour estimates, guys that is one of the problems with bikes almost 30 years old and no history it could have been rebuilt x3 times by now, at least it's been established the bike is all gen 2 so the normal diagnostics should be simple, once the OP comes back with some answers we can get down to the root of the problem.

The headstock tag is the clue - if the frame is original. So, it is a 1994 model year Gen2...apparently.
