Hey guys, I've been on the forum for about a week now, but was on the ex500riders.com forum for probably 4 months or so. I need to get a new fairing for my bike and was considering getting an airtech fairing, but don't know how I would go about mounting the headlight in it. Has anyone here modded the fairing so that there are mounting brackets for the headlight or have any ideas of what may work???? Thanks a bunch, maybe this will save me the $300+ bucks that it would cost me to get an oem part instead of an airtech.

I was going to get one, but i decided to go with a streetfighter type headlight/ fairing that bolts to the fork. If you take the fairing off and just eyeball how the headlight is mounted right now it should give you an idea of what you'll need to fab up. Basically you need to make the tabs that the light screws into. I suggest practice on your busted fairing doing some fibreglass work or carbon fiber (not sure which is easier, but ive heard both are pretty simple. As far as the holes that are used to mount the fairing to the frame and gastank, just be careful about drilling so you dont drill too close to the edge and/ or crack it. Let us know how it turned out, its going to be a while before i replace my headlight so i still have the chance to buy the airtech.
