The Smartest Man at a Gas Station

Hmmm, that reminds me of Tuesday night when I met a smartie.

You can always tell who is the smartest man at a gas station:

Look for the lit cigarette in his hand as he fuels his car. When upon asking the question, "Do you think it's wise to smoke while you do that?" you are met with the thoughtful response "Bite me," you know you are dealing with a true genius. A further demonstration of his limitless knowledge may follow. The man most likely will make the back end of his truck skid left and right from intentional over-acceleration as he exits the gas station. Of course, there is no traffic that would force him to have to accelerate in this fashion. Of course.

So you may someday meet the smartest man at a gas station. Catching a glimpse of this rare intellect is a truly moving event.

... It's one thing to not care about yourself, but if that action extends to others who do care about themselves, then let me hope that the fine gentleman above is sterile and cannot reproduce. I also hope that he has no influence over children and that his job does not require him to make important decisions. Ah. I feel better. ::)

Can't say I agree with everything this Bozo says. In one spot he says he had to lay the bike down in order to avoid an accident. HELLO!!! Laying the bike down IS the accident. It is just an excuse for the fact he lost control. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even a Harley will stop faster on two wheels than it will sliding on its side......

I can't tell you how many people have so much to say about "I had to lay the Bike down to avoid the accident." I never really understood it myself and there is always another explanation - well almost always - I know people who have bailed when getting T-Boned, but I still don't know - if oyu have the reaction time to jump off like a rabbit, you should have enough time to hit the throttle and get the hell out of the way - but maybe I'm oversimplifying.

That gas thing was hilarious.

Quote from the site: "I was leading a pack of approximately 20 motorcycles on a run to Santa Barbara on the 101 freeway last year. We were riding in a side-by-side formation (also known as coffin formation) in the number one lane. The 101 freeway has basically no median to speak of in the area in which we were riding. We were rolling at approximately 70 mph. Out of nowhere, a mattress appeared directly in front of us. There was nowhere to go, and we had milliseconds to react. Luckily the guys I was riding with were all experienced motorcycle riders."

This guy is a dope. Nothing like almost killing 19 of your closest friends....You are telling me you don't notice a mattress in the middle of the lane on the highway during the day??? Even if you aren't paying ANY attention, you will see this kind of object well before you would have to worry about reacting to it. It is a good thing this guy likes to LEAD group rides so often because he apparently has the attention span of a gnat.

I actually have almost hit a large object in the road myself (in my car). It was a large wooden box. The SUV in front of me apparently is buddies with this motorcycle lawyer guy, because he/she didn't notice the box until they almost hit it despite no traffic being ahead, and JUST swerved out of the lane in time leaving me not knowing what I was approaching. I didn't hit it either, but it was a close call. I was following at a fairly safe distance, and that is the only reason why I didn't hit the thing. Used to drive a Saturn despite being a man (and you thought only 39 year old moms/4th grade teachers drove them!), so i'd give SUVs a little extra following distance since I had 0 chance of seeing anything in front of them if following close. Point is, if I HAD hit that box, it would have been my fault. If motorcycle lawyer had killed all his friends, it would have been his fault.

Keep those eyes open!! =)

grammar in that write-up is horrible. i don't claim to be the greatest, but oh my..

"Cars and Trucks are much more bigger than your motorcycle."
get rid of more, its redundant and sounds retarded.

"Many motorcyclist are injured when their rear ended at intersections by cagers"

its motorcyclists, and should have used they are (they're).

"Its better to error on the side of caution than end up in the emergency room or in the morgue. "
no, but i'd probably err on the side of caution!

i quit halfway..
