bogging down

I've got an 05 500 that is starting to bog down on hard acceleration. I'm approaching 2000 miles. No maintenance on air filter at this point. New air filter or carb problem? I have not adjusted the pilot screws. Thanks.

"Note: accidental overfilling oil into your engine can cause problems too. As the crankshaft rotates it will churn the oil, causing aeration and eventually sustained foam may form. This can lead to overheated motor oil, oxidation and a loss of oil pressure. Spongy aerated oil is hard to pump. It starves the engine and critical lubricated surfaces."

Bill Nye... funny but I'd rather be an up-dated Carl Sagan (except for the "billions & billions" thang). 8)

I have to keep pretty sharp at the old I-net searching because many of my sharpest 8th graders would leave me in the dust. It helps a lot to put quote marks around key phrases then add a couple of the critical nouns or verbs. If one "search for" combination of words doesn't work, or even if does, try some other combinations with synonyms.

Example- When looking for pics of our beloved bike I found that "Kawasaki ex-500" gave some different pictures than "Ninja 500." So I kept searching until I found my favorite so far, same color as my bike:
*Whines* but that's sooooo time consuming! ha ha yeah I get what your saying sometimes you have to play with your search words and sharpen your results with quotations. I understand google's method of retrieving links in relationship to your search words is a bit innovative... however very differnet from yahoo or say ask.com on a rare occasion I'll find that SOMETIMES also using a more traditional search engine will produce a favorable return.

NOTE: Nice picture but ahhh Those front front blinkers make me cringe!

Let me guess, you're still single?
Hard to please a guy who's so distracted by "front blinkers." ;D
hahaHahahaAHa yeah well in this case the bigger 'blinkers' would work just fine. ;D
