"I feel the front end practically buckle underneath my bike every time i go into turn 1... I can just imagine what it's doing but I don't wanna actually see it "

Hey Oreo,
Want a quick second off your lap times? I thought so.

learn to push the front going into 1. Brake at the 2 mark only a little just to weight the wheel, 1 down shift and aim for a point about 3 feet inside the apex of one. Yeah right at the curb, countersteer really hard and release the brake as the lean increases, the front will push the bike will slow and drift out to clear the curb, and you'll have a killer drive to 1A.

Oh man... That sounds scary........................ I like it ;D
(but that doesn't mean I'll have to balls to do it;))

I'm workin my way closer & closer to the 2 board...
Before I was squeezing in TWO downshifts before one ::) but then I got used to moving one of those downshifts further down the track between 1a and 2.

Now i'm braking hard just after the 3 board about the same time I make my pre-turn, hitting one downshift about even w/ the end of pit wall & trailing the brakes pretty far.... Still working on my cornerspeed & lean angle.

BTW the same trick works into 3. as well, Brake hard at the 1st cone on the left and start you turn in way early let the front scrub as you control it with countersteering. A nice wide large radius as possabile just like a 125.

yeah, that i'm doing... go over the bumps leading into the chute, brake hard at first cone, turn in early, trail it to the apex & go wide to the beach and i'm ALWAYS catching people going INTO 3, but again i'm lacking the confidence to carry the speed so i'm braking too long, sacrificing cornerspeed after the apex and probably waiting a little too long before I get on the gas hard... I'm barely getting my knee down through there. :(

I think one of my problems is i'm looking at the rumble strip at the apex when I'm turning in, which is taking my eyes away from all that room i've got between me & the beach.

Yes I supppose this ought to be in the racer section. but. Remember that comming out of three there is the up hill that acts to load the tire to allow more speed past the apex.
Can you believe Jeff doing 17s?
