Hi...haven't been here long!

Has anyone ever wondered, as I have, if the engine break-in periods correspond with a safety driven program for new bike owners. I had one friend quote a statistic that the life of a "Super Bike" sold to the general public was, on average, about 45 hours. Not including bikes sold for, or to, racers, or racing teams. I don't know if the engine mfg. technology normally requires such a strict break-in period. But thought there might be a hidden agenda?

I have stated this many times on this forum. That the break in was as much for the rider as the bike. Very true.
