Anyone know how often a carb cleaning would be in order? I cleaned my pilot jets just a month or two ago and it seems like they need it again already. Granted it's an easy enough remedy, but would there be any other problem that might give symilar symptoms? ie. hard to start, doesn't idle, and enrichener doesn't help idle.

your tank could be dirty or rusty inside. if you dont have a filter, little particulates can get sucked in the line and go into the carbs and plug the jets.

I haven't cleaned my carbs(yet). What do you think? should I? The bike runs well and no flat spots when accelerating or so.
I have a fuel filter installed if that helps :p

What I have learned to see if your tank is dirty and mainly rusty is after a while day or two loosen the carb bowl drain screws and see if any discoloured gas comes out. If it does then I bet you have a rusty gas tank.
