Hey guys, I think this is my third thread so far but
my bike has been going to 3/4 on the temp gauge on idle during stops. Just changed my oil and coolant which seems fine. I do have a manual switch for the fan installed by the previous owner but I don't knoe whether or not it's suppose to work when switched or by the sensor. Tbh, I've never seen the gauge go to red or really near there, but I don't want to take any chances... The fan fuse is good by the way too.

yeah so the fan is on manual and it gets warm when idling. ok that is why the fan is automatic do you ever turn it on.
coolant circulates the system and is cooled by air passing through the radiator when moving when it's at idle or stood no air passes through the radiator so it gets warm. that is what the fan is for. to provide an air flow when there is none.
if you dont want to return it to stock turn the fan on when the bikes not moving.
