So here's my story guys. I did the paypal thing on Ninjacustoms.net on the 3rd of October or thereabouts. I e-mailed the guy and now the website doesn't work and I'm still without my kit. I'm planning on reversing the charge on my plastic tomorrow. does anybody know whats going on?

the index page is borked. The rest of the website is still there. I'm going to send him another e-mail before my dispute goes through on monday. It's kind of irritating though. Under normal circumstances I would just say F-this but I don't want to carve up my stock fender and I don't want to pay double somewhere else. Either way, I sent him another e-mail. So I guess if I don't hear anything by monday I'll send through my dispute and warn others as to the kind of service I've recieved.

to those that just remove all that..do you have any issues with additional water and crap getting up under the seat and around the battery and that mess? my tools and stuff already get wet..i couldent imagine how bad it would be throwing all that water up there.

No, nothing that impaired operation. However, the fender is a part of two pieces. the second piece is the only piece that protects the battery and shock. without it, they are completely vulnerable. the other bit of issue i had was the tool storage area became very, VERY dirty. there are wires back there. Water and mud and crud could corrode them. i've seen those who have removed the entire fender who have sealed the area with tin.

Time to do the trunk mod. I have space for a towel, rain gear, and manual/notebook. This is a must have mod IMHO.

Real easy to make out of sheet alum. I made a splash panel that runs down behind the battery to keep water off of everything.

Its a great time to relocate your turn signals too.

This is nice! just removes it all and put sheet alum? how did u secure it? if you could post step by step that would be very helpful! thanks
Just use cardboard to make a patern. Mine is secured by a few 1/8" pop-rivets on the top edge of the box. The splash guards are pop riveted to the box. Thats pretty much all there is to it. Just make the box 2-2 1/4" deep on the ends, 1 1/2" in the center.

I ripper all that blastic out and have no problems with anything getting wet. just spray it down after a ride in the rain. and wash it when it gets dirty. as for the wiring if you're worried about it just waterproof it. shrink tube is a wonderful invention, and it's cheap. i do intend on doing a glass addition underneath for looks, mainly just waiting on dad to get my dogbones done, before i go to do that.
