Mr. Mc Biggity,

I can make you a set. FOr say $30 for just the front less the bolts. and 45 for all four. angain less the bolts. The rear stock bolts are OK in the front you need new ones. I don't have a good source for them so I have to pay retail. You can do as good. They will be 3/8 dia. holes, for easier to find fractional bolts Or 10mm if you wish.
PM me.
To all, I'm looking for a little part time business for my Machine shop. Things like dogbones and Solid mounts are just right. Let me know if your interested.

I have no doubt about the purpose and value of these pieces. In fact, as a machine shop owner for near thirty years, I'd say that if that picture represents what Fog is willing to make for $30, it's an absolute STEAL! (Oh to be able to machine for the love and sport of it... without the o'head.) ;) 8) Also, the rigid mount could only be beneficial in improving the handling characteristics when really pushing it.... BUT, now to the question....

Does installing those add any buzziness to the bars, pegs, etc. that might be objectionable on a daily driver? I ask because I'm old enough to have ridden a number of vertical twins in years bye and they were AWFULLY buzzy machines. After an hour or so of cruising, your hands (or feet) would be numbed to the point that gripping the bars felt like you were holding onto 4" pipe. :) When I picked up my first EX, primarily for my kids to start street riding on, I was amazed and impressed with how smooth they were at highway speeds.... but they also have a balance shaft that never existed in some of the older bikes, hence the question. Do the rubber mounts help that much or is it more the balance shaft? I defer to those of you with that experience. :-X

well- to quote Bill in his e-mail to me-
"Don't be alarmed at the amount of Vibration you'll feel when you first ride with them in place,"

Now it may be something that you would grow acustom to, but for my application- Longest race is 20 minutes- I will deal with the extra buzziness to get some much needed frame stability.

Understood. :) So, a worthwhile mod but maybe not such a good mod for a daily driver? :(

Absolutlly not for street. They will kill you in a couple of hours. As McBiggty Says a 20 min. race is ok. Thier value is subject to your riding ability. That is if your not twisting the frame with countersteering in the corners , you won't notice the diffrence. It will only show up on the Lap time chart.

Not a problem. Actually a Must for any race applecation. The extra vibes are only a annoyance when you want a nice soft cushy bike for street cruising. Any racer regardless of how long in the seat will appreciate the additional rigidity far more than the increased vibration.
