Does anyone know what the most likely cause of oil coming out of the fork tubes might be? Is this from the fork seals, and if so, are they easy/cheap to replace?

Yep, sounds like the seals. I've replaced fork oil myself, never seals. Seals are cheap, but replacement (I hear) is a real pain...

Somebody here should have more info on the replacement, though.

Do you know if the bike has been subjected to wheelies w/ abrupt/harsh landings by weither yourself or previous owners? What year is your bike, & how many miles?

I'm not sure about the previous owner, I bought it from a dealership. It's a 2004 with 15,000 miles.
