FZR400 swingarms, by Wade's 500 page (http://mfes.com/wade/F2ZX6rear.html) at least, are the easiest way to allow a 160 rear tire which is handy for racing or just looking like a racer.
Wow that sure is a sexy swingarm.
I have an FZR600 swinger on my racer, and I'd love to have an aluminum job to save the weight, but his one has over bracing which is either a modification, or some trick racing part.
I know for sure my bike doesn't make the power that would justify a braced swingarm.
Oh I agree it's just bling for your thing! Swapping the rear for a wider tire on an EXcellent 500 has limited real world value, however it's there if you have a desire to be different.
"Don't bother", unless you like monkeying around with such things! Mine came with a 140 on the rear, I'll replace it with a 130 and see the diff for myself. If I prefer a 140 over a 130, I might try a 160. I love to tinker!
