Hey guys,

Methinks I need a new chain, its looking rusty and it's been at least 5k miles (does that sound right?) Anyway, the $$ is tight these days, so I was wondering if you had a good recommendation of a brand/type/where to get it?

I know there are other threads on sprockets but I thought I'd throw that in :)

Thanks!

You should be able to get more than 5 thousand miles from a chain!?! Did you lube it regularly and adjust the tension?

Tension yes - I check that regularly.

UuHUh ...you said lube...uIhuHuh - but yeah no, I don't lube it as much as I should :(

Secretly I want an excuse to get one of those blingy gold ones ;D

Gotcha! I've got a gold chain on mine. It's a Regina. Bought it from Dennis Kirk.com, came in a set with sprockets and chain. Seems alright...

Expected chain mileage will drop if your using bad sprockets though, and visa-versa. That's why they say to change the whole final drive at the same time. If your chain is a little rusty but still in decent shape, lubing it should bring some life back to it.

So far you have selected:
Power Sport: Year: Make:
Chains & Sprockets (change) 2002 (change) Kawasaki (change)
Select the Model/Year:
Step two of two:
*No models found for selected year/make
