Just got a Garmin GPS Zuma 450. Supplied mounts are for attachment to either clutch/throttle retaining bolts.
However would really like it to be frame mounted (not on bars) for reasons of less shock/vibration and looking for any suggestion re this.
Space is tight in area ahead of bars with clearance issues etc.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks, Alan

I've read somewhere someone has glued or velcro-ed some magnets at the back and stuck it to the tank :)

Check out the ram mounting system. Used by hundreds of motorcyclists to mount gps's and radar detectors etc...

well worth the price as it will keep the gps secure. I homebrewed a mount for my Etrex Legend and it was ok but it wasn't readable while moving unless I looked straight down. Also the vibes caused it to shut off occasionally until I added some rtv in the battery compartment to keep the batteries still in extreme situations. (mainly on my dirt bike)

Next time I get some $$ I'm switching to a ram mount. I don't use the gps enough to warrant it now.
