Handy help for handlebars replacement

1564 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  RichC10
Good day all,

Could anyone tell me what's the diameter of the handlebars on the ex500 ? I guess it's the same size for all years but just in case, it's for a 1st gen.

I'm looking to replace my handlebars and would like to have it simpler by finding something the same size as the originals so all the switches fit.

I'm requesting your help since the bike is stored 120 km from where I am. ;)

Thanks for all your help ;D

rich, how did you mount those clamps? did you just drill through the stock triple tree upper?

i was thinking about installing superbike bars on my EX, but was wondering about the clamps...

Those are cheap e-bay risers. Drill one hole each through the upper triple.
