i was reading my owners manual and pg. 26 shows a pic and also gives instruc on how to turn on the 4 ways.. yeah, my 06 does not have that button. was it something they decided to take off before manufucaturing or midway through the season? or is there another way to turn them on?

For some obscure reason, the hazard switch is not installed on all model years.

My 1990 and most 1st gen have them, but it seem to be different for 2nd gen bikes (1994+), some have it, some don't.

I don't think there's any other way than getting a switch installed. You could fit the switch from another bike on it.. :-\

I made a topic about this after seeing it on the wikipedia page. it was selective on 2nd generations. It's a nice feature but not totally needed.
