Just got my bike back after its first tune-up, and about 20 minutes into a ride it gets pretty shaky in terms of vibrations. My wife noticed it more as the passenger. Not something that was bad, but something noticable.

We stopped, and I did some checking, and found the chain to be extremely loose. I spent about 30-45 minutes using the little tool kit to tighten it up, but the vibration is still there, albeit less than before.

Is it likely still the chain?

Before anyone suggests it, yes I plan to get it back to the dealer for them to get the job done right, but just wondered if anyone had experienced this before, and what the correction and/or problem was?

Thanks...

Yes, get the chain within spec because a loose chain will definitely cause vibration - or a vibration-like sensation - and a clear indication that something is not right.

I just bought a 2005 EX500 Ninja and I did noticed vibrations too. Vibrations are so strong that while idle, if I look in side mirrors, I don't see a thing.
Could this also be a loose chain problem?
