I haven't got alot to say just thought it would make the day go better to be the first at something. I'm from Lake City, Florida, I doubt anybody has heard of it other than the only claim to fame is this is where Ted Bundy earned his ride in the hot seat, well the one that got him fried anyways. The town got a spot in the movie are atleast the name did they used a much bigger looking town.
It is about 45 miles north of Gainesville, and about 60 west of Jacksonville. Anybody in the area let me know, me and a few friends are always going on rides somewhere, ranging from St. Augustine on the Atlantic side to Cedar Key on the Gulf of Mexico side.

Familiar with that area some. Use to live in Columbia, SC and would go to Augusta for my job at the time on golf courses. And friends go there for tattos since they where illegal in SC at that time.

Knoxville TN, little over an hour north of Deal's Gap, not that I've been there yet... got plenty of twisties starting at the end of my driveway.

BTW, Lake City FL was/is a gathering place for scuba divers, there's a bunch of springs within an hour's drive. Been there a few times!

Yes Maverick they are F-1's, I was living in Ft. White, which is where the Suwannee, Ichetucknee, and Sante Fe rivers all meet. There are springs all over here. Almost everyone of us growing up around here has free dived for tourists watches and chains. lol. Sorry for not getting back any sooner, got caught up in work and not much time on computer.

Pardon, I have to update that. Went to TOTD today, low traffic so if I screwed up there'd be fewer witnesses. First impression of the Dragon was I've seen all this before just not all in one place. Not a bad ride but I've got other roads closer that mimic the Dragon's features. I'm pathetic, the only time I felt scared was when I entered the NC side to find a damp salted road that reduced traction.

Who's been out and about? 3/10 I did about 150 miles on some rural routes, the threat of a few sprinkles kept most people off the road. I did see a small gang of CBRs and the odd single so not everyone's afraid of a little water.

My ride plan was to enjoy the curves and make quick work of the straights. That's the main strength of a motorcycle anyway. Next time I'll take pics; my route went through one of the most haunted towns in the world and by a race track for sale, cheap!
