Hi all I have recently brought a ER5 as a project the bike has been dry stored for a number amount of years and is in relatively good condition. The only problem being NO SPARK I owned a Kawasaki klx before and same issue (are kawasakis designed to be a ornament?). I have change almost every thing apart from the ignition. I’ve read similar issues and they all seem to be talking about a 100k resistor how can I check this. The bike turns over all light work and power to the coils.

there should also be 5 wires .

and grey. if you have a yellow wire instead of a grey one it's an aftermarket switch.

Hi yes I have a yellow wire and they isn’t a resistor in the ignition could this be the problem I think it’s a 2002 model
yes most probably. you can use this ignition switch if you follow the "how to" here.

I will give it ago and keep you updated any idea what resistor it is ?
100 ohms 1/4w, bog standard radio resistor. (and remember) you fit it to the wire not the switch as you need to cut the yellow wire above the resistor, "it's all in the guide".
