Is it just me or is the site at times laggy? I have a good cable connection @ work and a respectable HSeed DSL at home.

I get a slow down too... & have the Cox cable modem thing w/ Windows XP Home. It's slowish whether on FirFox or Explorer. Late afternoon, early evening seems the worse time. ???

But sometime I think a neighbor or two are doing streaming video (or?), & it slows all the rest of us on the same module, or buss, or port... or whatever it's called.

Hmm... I host this site on a dedicated virtual server, meaning there's a single machine running quite a few virtual servers concurrently via software. This offers me a lot of flexibility, as I install and maintain the OS and all software installations. A downside is that occasionally, the parent host takes a performance hit, and my server experiences a slowdown as a result. From what I've seen though, this doesn't happen very often...

If (and when) the site grows and there are supporting dollars to do so, I'd definitely upgrade to a better package, meaning our server would be sharing resources with fewer servers and experience less performance hits. I currently only monitor the site for availability, but will look into monitoring response time as well since you guys mention it.

Yeah, keep us in the loop. I wouldn't feel bad to ask people to buy shirts or whatever to keep the site up. I'd hate to see another good site go down because good software or severs can't be bought!
