A quick internet search hasn't brought up much locking luggage for our bike. I'm looking for some hard, locking sidebags. I like the idea of being able to lock my gear in there while I'm off hiking or some such thing. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Givi is about the only company that makes hard luggage. They only offer topcases. I have this setup and really like it, works great for riding to work or even shopping. I have their largest case and the smallest. the largest fits a little over two helmets side by side and the smallest fits just one helmet. I am actually looking to sell them and the mounting hardware since I broke my leg two weeks ago and any extra cash would help right now. if your interested let me know and I'll take a pic or two.

That would be awesome for the long-distance touring with the fiance on the back. If Operaflute doesn't want it, let me know what price you're looking to get...

will do, they also have back pads that attach to the case as accessories for the gf, would decrease the wine factor greatly.
lol, that's what I'm getting at! :)

That's a Corbin seat on your bike too right? That would likely also aid in the "whine" factor!

yup, an nice addition, it helps keep the passenger on their seat. its weird the seat is about 3 times the weight at the stock one. I am willing to part with it again due to financial constrictions of a broken leg. I'll pm you when I find the receipt for if interested.

Tuttdog - pm me about the seat, I'd love to find a good deal on a Corbin seat. My fiance offered to buy me it awhile ago, cause she hates the stock seat with a passion. Does your Corbin have the backrest too? Looking forward to the PM!

Click "ORDER" for the price, new... $299.
If this is the one being written about.
Generally when you purchase a product used, you can find it for cheaper than the new price - and if it's a gently used seat, you can get a good deal!
Of course. I was just sharing the new price as available from the manufacturer online.

Well here's a pic of tuttdog's topcase in it's new home! The thing looks goofy, but - wow - I love it and already don't know how I lived without it!
This pic shows the larger of the 2 cases - E450N. My dog could ALMOST curl up in it!
Tuttdog posted a nice pictorial on installation. It's pretty self explanatory, but I'll put up the link, just in case someone wants to take a peek.

Incidentally, the latch for the larger case is kind of wierd, and NOT intuitive. Here's a link that explains it well:
