Lowering the footpegs

There a thread about our bikes on www.advrider.com:

www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178947

Actually it was where I got the idea to make a list of things to improve it for touring. Anyway, one of the recent posts asks:

"Just out of curiousity, is it easy/possible to lower the footpegs some?"

Recommendations please. I'll post them. Thanks.

Lowering the pegs will make them more prone to dragging than they already are. I wouldn't recommend it.

Hey... what if a nice skateboard wheel & axle was attached at the end of the footpeg!!?

(Yeah... yet another feeble attempt at humor.) 8)
:p do your students dig the attempts? lol - In my experience I always thought teachers (esp math sci types) that put in a swing a humor once in a while were actually very good educators (and kinda showed they cared!)
