a reminder....Custom carb Services still offering mosfet EX conversion.

No illusions or false claims...the supplied genuine Shindegan mosfets will be sourced used...but the cool runner will no doubt offer a long service life.

Each regulator is to be vigorously cleaned and confirmed electrically operational, each bench tested and "live" tested when possible.

Mounting procedure is your choice...spacers, a spacer plate, 1 bolt, 2 bolt...velcro in the case of a tail mount....various methods your choice. Electrically....plugs right in to existing EX harness.

Conversion harness hand built using genuine Furukawa weatherproof connectors, using 14 gauge silicone jacketed wire...both crimped and soldered for reliability.

Mosfet and cable conversions will be available on a very limited basis at this price point.

$120 shipped in CONUS only, Paypal accepted. Interested parties please PM.

Disclaimer- as with any electrical mod, I cannot..and will not... be held responsible for any...any...consequential/peripheral damages. Though this mod is a clear winner, the final responsibility as to the overall condition and integrity of your electrical system (and this installation) is YOURS.

A side mount or tail mount, same price, your choice...please specify.

Will build to your other chosen length (upon advance request)

Usually a winter project for me to build a few up... nowadays i source and build as requested, though usually 1 on hand any given time. Right now, 1 kit still here
Last few days I had opportunity (with an EX here) to test output, 13.9v if memory serves, stable and cool running as expected, more than enough to provide the systems. The stock Kaw unit was 14.6....getting near 15 is the high end....the body heats up real quick, almost untouchable. This internal heat is what kills them....they literally cook from the inside out. 15 will begin to do peripheral electrical damage, blow bulbs, melt wires, even take stators out.

If you have one ready I’ll take it! I’m planning on doing a few things in the next few weeks with my electrical so may as well replace this too!
good idea. remember the mosfet unit is bigger than the stock shunt one so you will have to find a way of mounting it.
first one I put on it was just tie wrapped to the frame worked ok for 12 months till I got round to making a bracket.

yes it will fit under the seat if move it far enough back so it doesn't impede the seat lock you would probably need a bit longer tails on it not but might fit without

I happen to have an EX here for service work, I'll take the opportunity to look at mounting, though it CAN be done in stock location (see pic) I forget who's bike this was, long ago.
With tail mount I have elongated the harness by request in the past. Lemme look at options on this one here over the weekend. I'm deep within a full service and other stuff on my SS800 Ducati ATM.

as of 12/21....2 Mosfet RR's are in stock, upon testing each registered 14.02 and 14.05DCV at 1,000 rpm (using my 900ss Ducati as testbed)
Provide me with your preference of side or tail mount and I'll custom build your harness. $120 net, shipping included in CONUS.
A great winter upgrade!
